Indication
Phytodinone-K is used for the treatment of hypoprothrombinemia due to poisoning by warfarin or other coumarins in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, cats and dogs.

It is administered by intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
Pharmacologic dose:
Dogs and cats: 0.25-2.5 mg/kg body weight
Cattle, horses, sheep, goats: 0.5-2.5 mg/kg body weight
The daily dose should be continued for four days.
In cases of severe anemia, the dose may be increased to 5 mg/kg body weight for 4 days
followed by oral K1 therapy.
Animals to be offered for human consumption should not be sent to slaughter before 28 days after drug administration. In milk-giving animals, milk obtained within 7 days (14 milkings) after drug administration should not be offered for human consumption.
