Indication
Cattle: Treatment and prevention of Babesiosis (Babesia argentina, B. bigemina, B. bovis and B. divergens) and Anaplasmosis marginale.
Canine: Treatment and prevention of Babesiosis (Babesia canis, B. gibsoni and B. vogelli).
Equine: For the treatment and prevention of babesiosis (B. equi and B. caballi).
Cattle: Treatment and prevention of Babesiosis (Babesia argentina, B. bigemina, B. bovis and B. divergens) and Anaplasmosis marginale.
Canine: Treatment and prevention of Babesiosis (Babesia canis, B. gibsoni and B. vogelli).
Equine: For the treatment and prevention of babesiosis (B. equi and B. caballi).
Cattle For the treatment of babesiosis, it is administered by deep intramuscular or subcutaneous route.
Prevention: 2.125 mg imidocarb per kg body weight (2.5 ml/100 kg). Treatment: 0.85 mg imidocarb per kg body weight (1 ml/100 kg). For the treatment of bovine anaplasmosis, 2.125 mg imidocarb per kg body weight (2.5 ml/100 kg).
Canine: For the treatment of babesiosis, administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously. Prevention: 4.25 mg imidocarb per kg body weight (0.5 ml / 10 kg). Treatment: 2.125 mg imidocarb per kg body weight (0.25 ml/10 kg).
Horse: Administered intramuscularly. For B. caballi, a single dose of 2 ml per 100 kg body weight is normally sufficient. However, for B. equi, two applications may be required at 24-72 hour intervals depending on the clinical status of the disease.
During the treatment period and after the administration of medication, cattle should not be sent for slaughter within 213 days. In lactating cows, the milk obtained during the treatment period and after the last medication administration should not be consumed by humans for 21 days (42 milkings).
Due to the long withdrawal period for drug residues in milk, it is not recommended to administer medication to sheep and cows from which milk is obtained for human consumption.
It is available for sale in 20 ml and 50 ml amber-colored glass bottles.
